They'd win their next six video games, earlier than dropping one other game - an nearly shocking upset - to the Green Bay Packers, once more at residence. From 1988 to 1990, San Francisco specialized in road video games, incomes a still active league document 20 straight road wins. How is that doable, if not for someone in the league pulling some strings to guantee that it occurs for them? Conversely, they’ll find yourself having a defender lined up throughout from them that is probably going less athletic than they are, and won’t have the power to run with them throughout the sector or make a sort out in space. One big adverse for the Packers shall be not having WR Jordy Nelson (97 receptions for 1,257 yards and 14 TD in common season) for the sport. But what I can say is that I, for one, was glad to see the Lakers, and LeBron, crash and burn for this one season. So in the future, when things don’t go the Patriots’ approach, simply say “GU! Well, I can not say a method or the opposite about that. But the Bears backed these claims up, as from that time onward, Chicago showed no weaknesses the rest of the best way. The Rams came to Chicago the subsequent weekend for the NFC Championship, and misplaced, 24-0. The Bears made history with these two consecutive shutout wins in the playoffs. Again, fairly just lately, I could depend the variety of instances that they have missed the playoffs on one hand. These are simply not a superb quantity for Sanchez. The Jets still aren’t a very good crew. Bill Walsh had stepped down after the crew had simply gained their third Super Bowl over the Bengals, albeit barely, the year prior. They crushed Minnesota in the divisional spherical, 41-13, after which humiliated the LA Rams in the NFC Championship Game, 30-3, punching their solution to their second straight Super Bowl. I used to feel that approach about the San Francisco 49ers, greater than the Lakers. Do not get me fallacious: I don't hate LeBron, although I generally feel that he could conduct himself in a classier manner (once more, a bit more like MJ). Yes, maybe it appears petty, but I'll allow myself to take pleasure in it however, and rub it in a bit to bandwagon followers of each LeBron and the Lakers. It would take a little bit to get his timing again, but after a game or two, he ought to be again to normal. This crew was scary good, and the one crew which may actually have a shot at difficult the '85 Bears for the highest spot. That's a pretty convincing win, but it was the closest any crew would get to the Bears in these playoffs. They had been 9-2, and faced the also 9-2 New York Giants on Monday Night Football, in a game that was essentially for residence field advantage throughout the playoffs. But in 1989, the 49ers hardly needed it, easily incomes residence field advantage. In this season, nonetheless, the 49ers left absolutely no doubts. Some are asking the question about whether that is only a fluke type of a season, or the brand new normal for LeBron? Maybe it sounds petty to relish in the failure of the Lakers and LeBron's experiment, with their computerized assumption that they'd have an amazing likelihood to get LeBron yet another championship ring following a departure from Cleveland. And it is especially sweet to see all of these Lakers and/or LeBron followers, the ones with a false sense of entitlement, lastly grow quiet and humble, if only for one spring and summer. Clearly, all of that came into play with LeBron moving his skills to west coast, to town of angels, to play with the crew with the ugliest uniforms in the league. This year, despite the largest star in the league donning the Lakers colors, this franchise really let it occur, and early! The league has gravitated to a algorithm which might be designed to protect quarterbacks, and to protect offensive players, more usually. You see, the Lakers are one franchise that have sickened me for a long time. And even Sacramento or Portland, cities that had only one major sports activities franchise until just lately (Portland has since gotten an MLS club, but Sacramento has not.Earlier this week, I posted a blog entry about one journalist's record of most dominant groups in NFL history, as I disagreed with nearly every rating that this guy posted. Again, we're speaking about the most dominant groups in history, from starting of the season to the end. Middle linebacker Reggie Ragland missed all the season after injuring his knee in coaching camp. New England's 76 points through their first two video games ties the 2007 crew for many total points through the primary two contests of the season in franchise history. No, I cannot mention the 2007 New England Patriots, and for one easy, clearly apparent cause: the Patriots misplaced crucial game of the season. To place that into perspective, some individuals are sick and uninterested in the New England Patriots regularly getting to and winning the Super Bowl. Getting LeBron James, also for nearly nothing. And with every passing year that LeBron fails to win more championship rings, the more his legacy lags behind the real king of NBA legacies: Michael Jordan. This data was generated by .

Hillis shocked the world last season by being a player on the Browns actually worth talking about. His 1,100 yard, 11 TD season sprung out of a 5-11 record for the team. As one of the few lone bright spots on the squad, Hillis quietly amassed a fervent following among the Browns fan base and, over the course of EA Sports and ESPN's voting bracket, actually managed to garner more votes than NFL stars like Falcons QB Matt Ryan, Ravens running back Ray Rice, and Super Bowl XLV MVP Aaron Rodgers.

His final competition was Eagles QB Michael Vick, who became the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year in 2010 after a huge regular season run for Philadelphia that led to a fairly typical Eagles post-season--one of abject disappointment. Vick would have seemed the logical, popular choice, though his chances may have been hurt by the fact that he apparently used to be way into killing dogs for fun and profit.

Hillis now need only avoid the Madden Curse, that long-running superstition that being awarded the coveted cover spot of a Madden NFL game is the endorsement deal equivalent of the Sword of Damocles. Gracing the cover has often led to, at best, a sub-par season for the featured athlete, and at worst, some kind of terrible, career-altering injury.

== TEASER ==Though it's hardly iron-clad proof of any Madden-related hoodoo, stars such as Daunte Culpepper, Eddie George, Marshall Faulk, Donovan McNabb, Ray Lewis and Shaun Alexander have all suffered some manner of misfortune immediately following a cover appearance. Vick himself was once a cover victim as well. After taking the cover spot for Madden NFL 2004, Vick missed 12 games of the season after suffering a broken leg... not to mention all the years of financial turmoil and legal torment that followed after his status as an aficionado of competitive dog murder came to public light.

But hey, Hillis is probably going to be fine, and we here at Giant Bomb would like to offer our congratulations to Peyton and the people of Cleveland, who haven't had it easy in recent years, what with LeBron James and the economy and the suffocating weight of nonstop depression and all that. We also extend our condolences to EA Sports, who now have to figure out how to market a video game with a Cleveland Browns player on the cover. We're sure they'll figure something out.

Actually, this shows how insane football fans are. Who would want to vote for their star to be in that spot? "Your favorite player could be possibly injured or have a crappy season, vote now!"

If that was the case they would have just not put him in the running, I didn't see PETA people go nuts over him being the comeback player of the year, anyway congrats to PH

I don't think being upset about dog fighting makes you a freak. Sorry if some people aren't willing to forget about that because he's a good football player...

Thanks!

Peyton Hillis is the man though. I picked him up early in the season for my fantasy team and he killed it just about every week.

this is the correct answer, navarro.

hillis and vick were the two biggest surprises in the 2010 fantasy football season. that's why they were in the finals together. just look over the bracket of players both guys had to beat just to make it to the finals.

sure, anti-vick voters, the brown-stains' fanbase and voters scared of their favorite player getting the madden curse (i'd bet money eagles fans voted for hillis) all had a hand in the win. regardless, the considerable fantasy football fanbase tipped the scales above all.

Also, a ton of the so-called "Cursed" players are just players who end up having a shit season.  No injuries.  Even the best players can have a shit season.  It doesn't matter how great you are, if the 10 other players on the field aren't getting their job done, you aren't going to look all that good.
